Il 32enne GM armeno Levon Aronian, n.2 del mondo, stravince (8/11, con 1 punto e mezzo di distacco dagli inseguitori) il prestigioso torneo Tata Steel Memorial, conclusosi ieri (26 gemaio) a Wijk aan Zee. Al 2°/3° posto a pari merito, Giri e Karjakin con 6,5 punti.
Ci si aspettava qualcosa di più dal nostro Fabiano Caruana, che con 6/11 si piazza 4°/6° con Dominguez e So.
Risultato molto deludente per Nakamura, che si piazza solo 8°/9° su 12 partecipanti, totalizzando 5 punti. Torneo da dimenticare anche per Gelfand.
